The thing is, no one really knew about Ingress or what it was. Everyone knows the pokemon game, the lore, the characters. Hell Nintendo’s stock has risen a ton since the launch. This game wont die like Ingress, and Niantic would have to be the dumbest company every to just leave it how it is and not update it at all.…

Considering how shot the servers have been, I doubt they have the infrastructure set up within to moderate these requests with any efficiency.
