"If we’re supposed to get a thrill out of watching a dude beat two other dudes to death (including loving close-ups of the gore), how are we then supposed to mourn either character when the inevitable, score-heavy grieving montage arrives?"

And that seems a bit exploitative, non? Nobody's watching it because of the quality of the music.

Eh…
This is such a load of crap. I appreciate and understand how "artists musn't be afraid to share their art." And that the Internet can be one big collective asshole of a bully. But….

I wish Today just hadnt put this on the air. If the quality of the performance wasn't good—and how could it be?— then Today's motives for broadcasting that were questionable.

Wasn't Stilt-man an engineer who built stuff for other supervillains before doing his own crimes?. I'm less familiar with him, but allegedly Stilt-man built gear for another villain Buzzsaw and like… The schematic is on the wall of that shop in the TV show.

Oh, AV Club. Disappointed am I that you don't seem to know that Stilt-Man is already taken. He's appeared on the Daredevil TV show as "Melvin Potter" rather than his comix name "Wilbur Day." Melvin makes gear for the Kingpin and then constructs (and reconstructs for Season 2) for the main man himself. The Stilt-man's

But…but…Matt Damon is a nice guy!

Aww. I was really quite happy with this film and thought it was tons more character-driven than the previous two films in this series

Sean O'Neal, sorry that Star Wipe didn't work out, but it's nice to have you back at AVClub.

I love this comic. It's silly and heart-breaking all at once. すごい!!

Surprisingly wise words from Corey Feldman.

umm…dressing up your own body so that it appears to be more visually pleasing is the very definition of an ornamental pleasure. He's planning to put on a woman suit the same way a woman might put on a scarf and some earrings. The connection is not identical. The connection is only implicit. If it helps, reduce the

I'm sorry if you're intimidated by my ability to write in paragraphs and use multi-syllabic words that aren't "condescending" or "pretentious." You can keep calling me that if it makes you feel better. Or, you could go find a "Transformers" article to comment on. You don't have to "like" the picture but you can't make

Lessee, Bill is going to kill his victim, strip her flesh, and then chemically process it so it can be added to his woman suit and preserved for ornamental pleasures. I see a lot of similarities between that and taxidermy. Y'know too, it's still a ridiculous idea and that's why Barb and Joe can laugh about it. See

Not sure what you'd expect an elderly cancer patient to look like. Maybe she should put on some makeup and get dolled up before watching some Netflix?

I'm not sure you've watched either film.

Barb gets the idea to be taxidermied, watching Buffalo Bill preparing to do basically that to his victim. That's a direct connection to the film. It's puckish, and in a little bad taste, but it's the kind of thing a couple who has grown old together can laugh about together, even when it's not really a laughing

Oh, Aran'gar. At A/V Club, I usually try to comment in a positive way, by means of allowing the flow-through of additional discussion, the validation of ideas, I feel like the level of discussion here is often quite high, though ocaisionally a bit ridiculous.

You're doing it wrong. This is really a comic about facing cancer and mortality with pop culture put on top of it.

It's been a long year.
