These are mostly good, observant plot questions. The only one I'd take exception to was Pym's brave words and being accosted by Hydra for his eforts. Pym wasn't talking to Hydra, he was talking to SHIELD (who had a Hydra informant in the room, but no one would have known that in this scene.) the Hydra spy suggested

"If they do pull back on extending the franchise, it’ll be one of the first notable failures in the recent trend of studios announcing massive, five-year plans for their various franchises and cinematic dynasties"

And nobody thought to ask about Hodor!?

I was going to ask if Ira gets to keep taking cracks at Torey Malatia at the end of each show under the new arrangement, but, upon looking up the man's name for this comment, discovered that Malatia retired two years ago.

Little do we know… "Kenobi" is about as common a last name in a Galaxy Far, Far Away as "Jones" is in the United States.

Last year's song was "The Lonesome Road" by The Handsome Family. Burnett is a producer and walking encyclopedia of original music that he applies to people's films. Check, especially, the work he's done on several Coen Brothers' films.

Sorry, dude. I'm really not trying to be difficult to discuss with. I really like that you can get some back and forth on AVClub's forums.

Disengaged is a good word. But I took that as meaning the characters were actually…disengaged. Like the tone Ray uses with Frank at that bar. It made me think he was putting on the brave front like an act. It seemed familiar but very uncomfortable. It was as much a conversation stopper as, "Elvis, don't talk about my

Hrm. I've been looking forward to this show since last year. A number of these actors are folks I've generally liked and have been waiting for them to get a break (looking at you, Taylor Kitsch). But I've also spent some time tamping down expectations and restraining my desire for comparison. True Detective, Season 1

Well, at least they haven't resorted to Allstar by Smashmouth.

I'm with you about Up. The prologue was moving, everything else was… alright, but not much different from other animated shenanigans.

This is one of the finest movies I've ever seen and even though I "knew what I was getting into" when I watched it, I was still devastated. You have to bring some serious positive mental energy to this anime. It's at the top of my list of Great Films I Will Never, Ever Try to Watch Again.

I heard in a report about the boon in tourism at the site where they filmed The Water Garden, that filming at that site will resume in July for the next season of GoT.

This was not the "first sign of trouble." He's been marching on Winterfell for three episodes now (I have no idea how long that is in, um, "real time." Let's say at least a week.) Since he left Castle Black, there's been nothing but bad news. The supply lines are cut. A sizable portion of his army up and left. Ramsay

What you call "inconsistent bullshit," others might call "nuanced characterization." Stannis' actions are still very consistent,as he explained to Shireen that when one considers ones goals and values, one has almost no choice to make. The show just let us see in his head a little better since I don't think he's a POV

Everything about Hardhome was better. That whole episode took place off the page in after-action reports. Sansa having anything to do was better than the books. Giving Stannis a heart only so that he could betray it in the worst sort of way was better. Removing all those extra characters Tyrion encounters on the road

Just remember, if you can't see a corpse, disfigured and mounted on the end of a pike, then they're not really dead! Though, I generally agree, the scene at the end of Dances with Dragons was looking really really bad for Jon Snow.

Remember, they are deviating from the books, but not from the overall storyline that Martin has already laid out. For example, at the end of "Dances with Dragons" (the last published novel in SoIaF, not last night's episode), Shirreen is safe and sound at one of the Night's Watch castles. Well, now I thoroughly expect

Ah, yes. That scene was really more about Cersei than it was the kids. But the clincher is that there's still several seasons ahead of us in which the golden-haired children may die. I think too that the part of the prophesy that fortold her being put aside and "supplanted" by someone else was her major concern this

Yup. I was sorta concerned about it from a tactical point of view, but my emotional core was still dead from Shireen's scenes.
