Naw, it wasn't that the kids should burn, it was that they'd never get past the deaths of their parents and the doctor agreeing that would dampen the atmosphere in the Tardis a bit too much, especially sunce there'd be no place to unload the kids.

And I'm surprised, with the articles's discussion of fairy tales, that nobody has noted Maebh's running around the forest in a red outer coat, all the while pursued by wolves. I can't figure out what that could have been a metaphor of in the context of the story, but the imagery was definitely there.

My friend, who is a Who fan of both old and new varieties, mentioned your point tonight. New Who has to save the world 8 or 9 times a season, at least, which is not something the older series felt compelled to do. I agree with that. It's hard to keep topping yourself and making each new worldwide threat bigger and

You, sir, are implying spoilers! Stop that this instant!

I got the complete opposite idea: that the trees produced a huge surplus of oxygen that was like "padding" against the coming solar flare. But that's an even more ridiculous pile of junk science than the withholding oxygen theory, so I'm going to go with alasdsir's suggestion from the article. The less we examine the

Yeah, the way she was flailing her hands was funny. Seemed a bit more "special needs" than necessary.

I'm having a problem with Danny, in regards to what reason Clara has to hide the truth about her travels with the doctor and this came up again tonight: he seems mopey every time the Doctor comes up. I appreciate his description of wanting to see things that are closer to him, but he seems a tad smug about it and in

No, forgetting about a reboot and enjoying the original film as the masterpiece it is would be the best possible plan.

Uh huh. You guys had to look it up just like I did.

"Brobdingnagian?" C'mon, put away the thesaurus.

Reviewer touched on this here slightly: Kevin hasn't been the best visual director but I agree he's improving. I think nobody's sure what special effects would look like if he attempted them. The only one coming to mind is Ben Affleck flying around on angel's wings, which, um… Didn't look great. You'd think he'd

Yes, it is easy. You delete the music. The listing will continue to exist on your phone and could be downloaded from the cloud again, but the files are gone and are not taking up space on your phone. I think we're at this point because people don't understand how this cloud service works.

But it's so easy to remove it from your phone. If you're on the cloud, and you had to be on the cloud to one extent or another to get this record, it wasn't in your phone's memory in the first place.

I go with 4. It doesn't happen every time, but they still put out a great record every now and then.

Honestly, why are we listening to Twitter for the collective reaction to this thing last week? The only reaction we were going to ever hear from Twitter would be the snarky negative tune social media always plays. I'm sure "those damn kids today" esteem U2 today about as well as I liked The Rolling Stones around 1989,

Eh. Mr. Manara did a picture in the style of what he does, and I suspect he doesn't usually have to defend his work, particularly in the complicated backdrop of American feminism. Like his style or hate it, it has its place—Which is not on the cover of a comic book, I'd say.

I'm not sure how I like branding a post as "satire," but when I read things like a tea-party candidate saying his primary opponent was killed years ago and is now replaced with a body-double, I think I could use a little guide as to what's real anymore.
