I'm not really an American car guy but having driven both the new vette and this I have to say the Viper does feel significantly more "special" than the Chevy. Performance, engineering, style and all that aside, at the end of the day it's a more exclusive car and that's worth something in my opinion.

That's because... it is. If you want to be technical it's a "front mid" but any car where the engine is between the center line of the axles is mid engine.
