i’ve always wondered what the deal was with that camaro drawing. that UI is pretty bad, but that camaro drawing brings it out to the spotlight.

several years ago the wife and i were cross shopping a used 2013 focus, 2012 jetta and 2012 civic ex-l. was aware of the issues with the focus, but the price was attractive. i figured “how bad could it be?”

the focus looks so much better and i miss it already.

i’ve seen them in person - and they’re hideous. especially the prius, prius prime, avalon (and to a lesser extent camry) and every new lexus short of the LFA. too many hard angles leading to no where - designs with no flow or cohesion from front to rear.. and giant blocked off and tacky grilles.

the STI and RS are the closest thing and the answer is “because no one is buying them”

i have to disagree - the avista looks nothing like a muscle car and would not be a good fit. the reason the camaro died the first time around is because chevy built a camaro that looked NOTHING like a camaro.

looks pretty mundane to be honest. does it need that long hood and big upper grill? why are we still aping the looks of gasoline cars?
