Quietly accepting the unwritten rules of baseball is against the unwritten rules of baseball.

I think that the bulk of Americans (the ones that don’t frequent political sites on a daily basis, whether those sites are Right or Left) just don’t want to believe that Trump is a “bad guy.”
I get your concern, but it’s a calculated risk for purple states/districts - if we start impeachment proceedings more damning evidence is likely to come out, which will then likely sway public opinion even more. It’s similar to what happened with Nixon. Of course the risk is that nothing new is found and people feel…
This is a good take. Even though it will be politically detrimental to the Democrats (2/3 don’t support it currently), it is a moral imperative that the charges be brought. If Trump’s conduct doesn’t deserve impeachment then who ever would?
I agree that the House should file impeachment, but not on a personal display of bigotry; I think it should be firmly grounded on hard evidence of crimes or implementation of unaccountable and unconstitutional policies and procedures.
I think it’s really important that the House impeaches, even if it’s a pyrrhic victory and even if there’s no expectation that the Senate will convict. There’s more going on here than just present day politics - there’s historical precedent to consider. If we don’t impeach 45, we’re saying that politics can prevent…
I appreciate the context (though I can’t see the original bc of paywall), but I’m not sure what your comment mentions really changes the nature of what either of them have said. It is worth remembering Biden supported other desegregation efforts but here he is opposing THIS one.
Not to mention, did he ever stop to think about whether the flipped script were true, that his white child might learn better next to a non-white one?
The only good thing that came out of busing was that the poorer black schools that had white students bused in had a significant increase in funds to purchase textbooks, lab equipment, sports and equipment for the first time ever. Which is further evidence that Sanders was correct.
The intent originally was for the news to be a singular item that did not get commercial breaks, thereby keeping it from being dependent on selling ads and ratings.
Also, the media needs to be decentralized. Once large corporations were allowed to buy up local television, radio and newspapers they focused on what makes the most money while defending the wealthy owners instead of actual local news. Or, if there are local elements in those media outlets it is the bare minimum —…
Biden, you dipshit. It wasn’t that black kids learned better next to your white child; it’s that they were learning at a school with your white money.
I’ll say it again.
To the shock of no one with critical thinking ability, McConnell is a horrible husband.
It’s not like anyone told his wife’s fortune to go back where it came from....
I read it and thought, “isn’t it the President’s job to give them the resources they need?”
My Rabid Methhead is a bit rusty, but what she MIGHT mean is:
“we are sick and tired of many people in this country—forget these four, they represent a dark underbelly of this country of people who are not respecting our troops, are not giving them the resources and the respect that they deserve.”
