I agree completely. The author writes "They've become a greater threat than whatever they're supposed to be protecting us from." Seriously? You want to fly into a tower? You want to have a bomb go off mid-flight? What a naive, sheltered perspective.

"Founding" Columbus?

"That is an act of aggression that would result in another protracted war that America cannot afford right now."

Looks like fun, although quite slow for the most part.

His real name is Hannibal.

Quality is passé? People who think like that are destined for a life of mediocrity.

No, it just means that your ignorance of the music industry is showing. I'm sure Neil Young is not too worried that 'TriBorough' doesn't know who he is.

Only James Cameron knows for sure.

Trainspotting is an awesome movie. It was my first exposure to Robert Carlyle, and I think he's an acting genius. Love the soundtrack, love the actors, love the story. Nothing not to like with Trainspotting.

The top 3 features that make the iPad noteworthy and a must-have for me are: 1) the screen is amazing; 2) the rear-facing camera has gone from pointless to quite good for a mobile device (although I wish Apple had gone with the 4S camera); and 3) the integrated dictation function is outstanding.

"Kittinger didn't have all the fancy equipment that Baumgartner is using, but it doesn't matter."

I have no issue with people using Instagram to slap a filter on their poor quality phone pictures. I have contempt for people who would use it with DSLR photos... these would be the people with more money than brains. My issue with Instagram is that it isn't anything special. The product is very ho-hum, so kudos to

"You should have to KEEP CREATING. Nobody should be rewarded for resting on their laurels. Furthermore, just because you deserve the benefit doesn't mean you should also have the right of control."

Santorum's plan to 'fix' education is to shut down post-econdary education because opening minds is a threat to his cult. Here are my favorite quotes of the past week:

Agreed.

No, a sane person wouldn't vote for any of them.

I'm not a big fan of Gizmodo's blogging integrity, but I still stand behind my post as is. Just look at the GOP leadership contenders. Nuff said.

Is that your best response? No intelligent counter? BTW, I am not a liberal, I'm a conservative. Republicans are no longer conservatives... they are puppets of right wing special interest groups like oil, military contractors, religion, NRA, etc.. Anyone who calls themselves a Republican should be embarrassed.

No, it is nothing to do with debt because that is 90% George Bush and his oil & military complex masters who unnecessarily took us into Afghanistan and Iraq and achieved nothing. If that isn't bad enough, Bush gave tax breaks to the richest without any means of funding it. Those blunders and bad policies are sucking

I am seriously concerned about the Republican party. It seems like they all have some mental disability that blocks logic and fuels paranoia. I'm thinking "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Wait... What's that pod I see growing in my garden...
