And they call us snowflakes?
And they call us snowflakes?
He's a Republican. Of course. Could have guessed it, but had to confirm it.
So apparently it got even weirder as after the media storm hit, the judge threw the lead trial attorney for the county’s State’s attorney out his courtroom because his wife has seen that the attorney had liked some of the tweets critical of the judge. Because of that he didn’t feel like he could be fair towards the…
I hate mandatory minimums. I hate the cultural focus on prison as the only solution for crime and criminals.
5 gets ya 10 that Your Honor here has a similar story in his past.
Go ahead MRA knuckledraggers, tell us some more about how the pendulum has swung too far. Dickholes.
He is a rapist. He is now free to offend again. This is not just about punishment, this is about how women are not safe in our society. Women are constantly told how to behave to be safer, but men are not stopped from victimizing women.
I have NO doubt, that judges that sympathize with rapists have done the exact same thing in their youth, never got caught, and also feel that it’s not wrong. Consent means nothing to them, so they cannot fathom that consent actually means something to people who are decent, and not rapists.
I’m pretty anti-prison, and I want real criminal justice reform, so the idea of an 18 year old being warehoused and incarcerated for four years is not an appealing one to me either.
oh yeah I get that, but to be clear I don’t care at all that he’s (probably) gay; I care that he’s a screaming hypocrite member of the GQP that welcomes gays as proof of how “progressive” and “inclusive” they are when they are anything but. I can’t imagine the number of times he has had to bite his tongue when some…
Even if it’s not Graham, there should be an “openly” in there somewhere, as at least someone elected to Congress from that region over the last 232 years has been homosexual. I mean, the odds are just absurd that there hasn’t been one.
What do we suppose the odds are that this distinction was actually claimed in 1995 by a dapper young confirmed bachelor from South Carolina’s 3rd district who has since gone on to be a US Senator from that state?
This is SoCal. “You’re gonna wanna take the 405 to the 101 but avoid the 5"
If my time years of watching Top Gear is any indicator, they definitely say “the” before whatever highway name over there. “He’s on the M4" etc etc.
The extra $400 doesn’t go to the driver... and quite frankly, in special circumstances like this, Uber should just pay the driver out and not pass it onto the passenger. It’s through no fault of the driver or passenger that they’re in this situation.
Maybe he went to The Ohio State University.
Fake news. LA is all of California.
We say “the” in SoCal because our freeways had names before they were incorporated. The 5, or I5, used to be called The Santa Ana Freeway. It still technically is, but there’s hardly any signs that mention it.
He’s from the UK. He put out a story yesterday about his first time driving in the US last month.
Smart pushback “You picked the route, Uber, you own this”.
