This car is basically perfect for dignitary/VIP security in NY City. Stand on just about any street corner in the 5 boroughs and every 4th car that goes by is a black Camry. Register it with T&LC plates and throw an amber stress light on the back of the decklid and nobody would ever give it a second look.

Just a thought but how do you know the drone didn’t hit the rotor FIRST? It’s not unreasonable to think that the drone was actually propelled into the fuselage of the aircraft by the rotor. Even a lightweight, plastic drone could do significant damage when propelled by something moving at that velocity.

I wouldn’t go that far. While I despise speed cameras and I feel that many speed limits are set unnecessarily low, I absolutely disagree that the CONCEPT of speed enforcement is inherently wrong or predatory.

Not to be a stickler but this whole “the radar wasn’t calibrated!” Thing is an anachronistic myth at this point.

No. Not at all. The cop with the taser was covered by two others with firearms. All police are trained to counter a firearm with a firearm. Tasers are NOT 100% reliable and there is no ability to deliver a follow up shot should the probes either not make good contact or the charge not instantly incapacitate the

A) There was justification for the use of deadly force. The guy had a black and silver replica of a Luger pistol with a red laser mounted on it that he actually PAINTED one of the cops with. Had it been real, one of these guys would have been shot.

“Stancers” get singled out because frankly, they tend on average to be of the younger, less mature persuasion and as such, they are the demographic responsible for perpetrating much of the asshattery.

While I appreciate the nobility of the attempt to educate people in why you don’t need to top off your tank every fucking day, I’m not optimistic it’s ever a lesson that society will collectively learn.

I always thought Steve Saleen made those years fairly agreeable.

Terminators are legitimately GOOD LOOKING cars that were cursed with flat out unacceptable interiors.

I find there to be a slight irony in the fact that you agree about the C5 being a “blobby mess” and you DON’T think that an FD bears a strong resemblance to a C5.

From a police officer.....

The only way that this could possibly work is that the state would have to have no fingerprint record of either the actual perp or Whitehead (not just criminal but for any reason that required fingerprints.

Fair. I’m not insinuating that Lamborghini makes better cars. They have a tendency to self-immolate too.

And yet somehow they still manage to build new cars that catch fire at a rate that would outrage your average Chevrolet or Ford “client”. (I know it doesn’t happen like it used to, but it still happens at a higher rate than basically EVERY mass market manufacturer.)

I’m also 31 and I will never forget seeing the smoke/dust plume on the horizon from the 4th floor window of my math class out in the suburbs. 9/11 was our generation’s Pearl Harbor or JFK assassination.

Thank you for disagreeing in a mature and intelligent manner.

The last sentence demonstrates the fact that you have obviously never had to actually LOCATE A HUMAN BEING who is actively trying to evade capture.

Police are charged with apprehending criminals. Many criminals commit crimes other than murder or rape. If you don’t like chasing purse snatchers, perhaps we should simply legalize purse snatching.

No. I hate Donald Trump. But thank you for attempting to make this political.
