“Just let the guy go! You got his plate number, you can pick him up later!”

While some people might say that not being able to parallel park is a relatively minor part of driving a motor vehicle, I find that it’s indicative of a much more hazardous pattern of poor driving skills.

I bought mine brand new in late 07 and supercharged it after 3000 miles. Today it has 26k on it and I use it every chance I get in the non-snowy months except for commuting to work. If I had a parking lot at work, id drive it there too.

I’m not surprised given Alfa’s reputation for horrendous reliability.

That would be Highway 3 that you’re referring to. I’m a little surprised you don’t see them. I drive the entire length of the GCP every day and I see them.....almost every day with cars stopped or shooting Lidar.

The NYPD has its own Highway Patrol.

Or maybe the guy is just, you know...not a dick.

No. People think they do but they don’t. That would be a tremendous safety issue. What happens if the rightful owner is cruising down the highway with a weak battery in their keyfob and the signal to the receiver in the car suddenly drops out?

If you’re going to get on the soapbox about police reform in America, you can’t use bullshit hyperbole. The situation you just described literally has never and will never happen.

No, it still is. I understand what you’re saying and I will never say that revenue generation doesn’t have anything to do with it (of course it does) but you’re being very specific and I’m speaking generally.

First of all, I haven’t got a clue what you’re alluding to regarding big rigs or passing on the right. I don’t remember saying anything about that.

As someone who graduated college with honors on a full academic scholarship, I love pulling over people who think they need to use small words with me.

Spoken like someone convinced of their own supremacy. “Interject yourself into someone’s day” sounds like something a self-absorbed asshole would say. Rear-ending a slower car or mowing down a pedestrian would constitute “interjecting” yourself into someone’s day too.

Yes because enforcing traffic law is clearly analogous to exterminating human beings.

On the topic of handcuffing and detaining someone for not having ID, I’d like to remind all those who are so appalled that when you are stopped for a traffic or other violation, you are subject to arrest if the situation calls for it. There is no law I know of that limits police investigating certain violations to

Just a small correction Jason. The 16+ Interceptor Utilities do not have the illuminated LED strips around the perimeter of the lamps. That’s civilian XLT trim and up only.

I think you need to go back to the original statement I made that prompted this entire conversation.

I’m not sure if this can be considered a non-Australian’s interpretation of “The most Australia thing ever” because there doesn’t seem to be a kangaroo or any type of poisonous insect involved...But it’s still damned close.

I’m not sure what your point is. All I said is that taxis and police vehicles aren’t used the same way.

If it were a remote-reservoir log-shock with a maple syrup spout in the side, it would be even more Canada.
