In the CNN story on this, the JVS Masonry owner sounded like such an ass. CNN used language like “seemingly distraught” when describing how his employees took the day off to protest, like somehow they did it to hurt him. “I’ve gone above and beyond for these people. No one is going to dictate how my company is run.”…

Apparently he got a discount by buying the mens’ jackets in bulk, and from this fact he drew the conclusion that buying the jackets for the women would be unfair to the men because he would have to spend more money on the women then on the men,…

It’s even creepier than that. I’m sure Uber has some sort of HR policy on outside work communications being held through back channels that aren’t approved through HR. This HR flunkie, instead of looking into her complaints, was instead looking for violations that Fowler could be written up for.

Imagine having children instead of grades to worry about.

That assumes the child is making an actual choice and not being manipulated by one parent. In an ideal world sure. But if the parent or parents are manipulators it’s not really the child’s choice.

I like it because the actual bible verse is “HIS mouth speaks from that which fills HIS heart” which makes it that much more delicious.
