Lawrence,
Lawrence,
I can’t shake the 80s image of Porsche owners as nouveau-riche jerks.
A la Hightower in Police Academy?
Can’t argue with that. The sound is glorious.
I think the DB9 is one of the most beautiful cars of the last 30+ years. That said, when given the choice, I bought a manual vantage roadster because it was more sporty and, for me, much more fun to drive.
Congrats to your daughter and have a fantastic trip!
So no kids then?
Agreed! Well said.
Oh man! The maintenance is crazy! The final straw for me was the seal on the sunroof and the 2nd oil pump going at the same time.
Love your username btw. I sold mine in 17. How about you?
Forgot that!
Is it fun to drive? And do you miss the manual from the last model?
Here’s your car: ‘66 Lincoln Continental Convertible. 462 cu. inch V8, suicide doors. Plenty of room and fun to cruise. Sounds more like what this guy is looking for (except, you know, fast).
Much faster. Turbo v6 with 400hp &, I think, 415lbs of torque?
I was a teen when Highlander came out and loved, loved, loved it! As did my friends. We were so excited to see 2, I think we went opening night and were literally gobsmacked at how terrible it was.
Funny, I felt the exact same way about the game but walked away earlier in City Seven... Prague than you did. Just fired it up again 2 weeks ago and was thinking I should give it another go.
You ever listened to an Alfa? Great sounding V6s.
I am likewise not a fan. I have coveted the original NA Defender since they were new (one of these days...).
So what’s the correct pronunciation of this car anyway?
Yeah, but it was Monday morning, so I took the layup.
