@cait98: I blame the editors more than I blame her (for much of what's in there, anyway... I still think she's kind of an asshole). I can easily see where she might have trouble getting perspective on this issue due to her ED, and if the piece was over the top, someone should have barred her from publishing it.

@TheBodyEclectic: No, it's not! There's a reason she's taking such a flaying and it's not due to her "brutal honesty"; it's the supposition that such hateful views are either universal or acceptable.

This honestly made me cry. I'm not overweight, just "average" sized, but I responded to this so emotionally nonetheless.
