I wish these two would honestly just go away. They’re so shamelessly desperate for attention that I’m sure one year from now we’ll be hearing about how hairy Harry’s red sack is and Meghan’s anal bleaching DIY hacks. It’s crazy how fast they went from being semi-admired to just downright obnoxious. 

Agreed. I am a publicist and its a crap statement. They are already under intense scrutiny for being sh!t-stirrers and drama queens. This just made it worse. Nearly catastrophic is ok for an actual car crash but there wasn’t even a fender bender here. Almost isn’t news. 

Oh I don’t know that anyone has accused them of anything. But I also don’t trust a PR person for them to be volunteering anything about anything that they may have done (such as reckless driving) to ditch the paparazzi.

They have money and influence, both things lots of organizations would like to tap into, and giving them bullshit awards is a nice way to ingratiate yourself with them.

It’s performative charity. You never see the little people who are working day and night to get things done at local levels getting this kind of award. It always goes to the “big name” who mentions them in a tweet and rolls in for the applause.

Doesn’t seem like a good reason to disregard the safety of others on the road to me.

The pictures are all over social media and they do not show what the statement from Harry and Meghan suggests. And that is the issue with these two over and over again. They exaggerate to the point that the original thing is almost nonexistent in their version of events.

It’s moreso like saying if someone is chasing you trying to rape you and they can’t catch you then don’t keep running in circles for two hours, run towards a destination to bring the chase to a close.
