Have you driven a Nissan CVT recently? They are way smoother than automatics, no wait for the downshifts, particularly on hills. They are faster and more economical than autos. Autos are moving to more and more gears 6-9 speeds. CVT is the ultimate, pretty much infinity gears. After a cvt i will not go back to an auto.
