Sort of agreed. I think competitive Smash is fine, and certainly fairer in a professional tournament setting. I just wish people didn't insist on playing that way even casually. It's like if every time someone asked you to play chess, they whipped out a clock along with it.
I identify him as that guy what looks like Chris Gaines.

I hope Martin makes Lady Stoneheart the primary character of the next two novels just to spite them.
Why is Brienne beating Sandor so unbelievable? She holds her own against Jamie Lannister.
"I doubt the announcer who is talking through the whole game is also mentally calculating the number of seconds of stoppage time."
Most? I don't really understand the problem. Referees are left to their own judgement in every sport.
Isn't there a TV episode that parodies this specific "setting as character" trope? I want to say it's 30 Rock.
Latino Review get some pretty juicy scoops sometimes. They're often wrong, sure, but they're often right, and way earlier than anyone else.

I think Wright is a good director. Not great. World's End is enjoyable, though flawed. Shaun of the Dead is overrated. Hot Fuzz I liked a lot more than I thought I would. Scott Pilgrim is one of my guilty pleasures, but it's mostly because of my love of the source material.
American Idiot, the album, is actually pretty amazing. The rebelliousness is overwrought and unaimed, which is actually sort of the point. American Idiot the song, though, is definitely the worst track, both in theme and simply musical quality.
One of the things I liked about I Am Sam is that, other than the main character, the developmentally disabled characters were actually played by disabled actors. Actors with Downs, etc. It's hard not to view even good performances by a non-disabled actor as a sort of minstrel show.
