Umm, there’s a far easier way to remember who/whom. Whom is an indirect object; that means, it requires a preposition in front of it. To whom does this belong, for whom are you asking, from whom is this gift? Of course this is also true of him/her/us/me/them- they are all indirect objects requiring a preposition.
