“For me, personally, I cannot stand it when people bring food or try to eat in my car.” This. And don’t you dare light a cigarette if you get in my car.

love the speed limit photoshop

not running over plastic bags such as grocery and store bags is smart because they can get caught up in your tires, thrown into your engine bay and melt on whatever it lands which can easily cause problems

I much prefer a 6-speed manual to a 5-speed and having a second cruising gear. Think of the wide range of cruising speeds, higher torque in 5th and lower consumption in 6th. My first car had 5 and I was longing for a 6th most of the time because of how high the engine was revving at highway speeds. My last 2 cars have

You may have been driving angrily, but at least you were doing it while listening to A Tribe Called Quest.

Having test driven a Scion FR-S (Toyota 86) manual I wouldn’t disagree with it being the best car in that segment. The boxer engine and RWD combined with a low center of gravity makes it so fun to drive. If I owned an MX-5 however I would most likely have it stored for 4-6 months and daily driver my 3. I don’t know if

Say what you want about the Miata, but they’re one of the best driver’s car out there. The new ones give you that bang-for-your-buck factor and the newest version takes it to a whole other level with the Skyactiv technology. I was fortunate enough to try the 2015 manual, 2016 (new Skyactiv version) manual and

Calling the hatchback versions of the Mazda3 ’Sport’ seems funny to me. Why not just call them sedan and hatchback? Also that new top-of-the-line CX-9 Signature...

Likewise. I would do that in my first Mazda3 Skyactiv which had the 6-speed auto with “manual” mode. I would also sometimes use it when holding a gear uphill to keep the transmission from shifting in a higher gear.

This makes a good point and a great story to read on V-day. I don’t find the usual bathroom mirror selfie more attractive than one in the driver’s seat however... lol

I guess the ‘auto’ lights in my new-to-me 2013 Mazda3 GS-SKY is making me a lazy bum now, but the switch stalk still has the option of leaving only the parking lots on. I wouldn’t use it but if I do and turn off the car, it chimes until I turn off the lights or leave them at ‘auto’.

My local driving school had just gotten their hands on a new red 2009 Elantra like this one. It only had 20k km on the odometer at the time. I had done most of my 10 hrs of driving with an older gen (2007) and a couple hours wih this one. Needless to say I was trying to be very careful with it when the instructor was

I agree that not all cars need it. My 2007 Matrix’s C59 had shift throws that felt very long compared to my 2nd and 3rd Mazda 3s, but I still enjoyed it. The Skyactiv-MT already has 15% shorter throws and is advertised to have the shortest throws in all passenger cars. I wouldn’t want it to be any different since it

Having picked up my third Mazda today, a 2013 GS-Skyactiv, I salute you for posting this. It’s only got 78k km (~48k mi.) on the odometer but I will be looking forward to keeping it in top shape.

Not bad at all for an AMG with almost 285k km!

When it’s really cold (-30° Celsius) and I start the car in the morning, the CD in the CD player ejects itself and the Skyactiv-G engine idles higher (and noticeably makes more noise) for ~30 seconds in order to get the engine to an optimal engine temperature quicker.

My lease is coming due next month and I can only think of replacing it with another Mazda3 hatch. Preferrably still a third gen (2014+) but with more options such as in the GS trim. I’d even be willing to get and older 2nd gen (2010-2013) because in reality I’m waiting for Skyactiv-X to hit the North American market

Nice! How well does that AWD system work in those vans? Is it similar to the Rav4 where you have a lock button to engage full 4wd up to 25mph?

He will win the F2 championship at 12. He will be the youngest’s F1 championship driver at 14. He will win all WRC events on the planet by age 16 and after winning the 24 hrs of LeMans at 18 he will retire.

Nice snowplow and utility trailer indeed.
