People don’t usually make their car purchases with logic in mind.
My friend from college had one of these, until a heavy tree branch fell on it while it was parked overnight. She was devastated. For a convertible, they were nice cars. I rented one on a trip to Florida once - nice vacation car. The 2.8L V6 provided enough torque for a spirited drive (remember - this was the late…
They would have sold about 1000. The vast majority of consumer truck buyers buy a 4 door.
No. The 5 was already discontinued when we bought our CX-5 and also has horrible small overlap crash test scores and no tech like I want. And, the old school 2.5 doesn’t even get very good fuel economy.
So... this is a BMW i3, but literally a decade late?
Sounds like typical Mazda, despite how much I still love them.
I like it and I’m a past (4x) and likely future Mazda owner, but this isn’t really a great value. Frankly I’d be happy with a regular hybrid CX-30 that has some of the design cues from this, particularly the interior and the infotainment.
I laugh at the dealer when they contact me trying to get me to buy another one.
I had a Lamda platform (previous generation) Acadia (‘cousin’ to the Enclave). and during my roughly 100K miles of ownership, I think I had the air conditioning serviced 5 times. AC in Texas is kind of a big deal.
ALL SUV LINEUP = Jalopnik Swear Word.
Since there are about 7 of you (TourX wagon purchasers), that should be some fairly easy math...
Avenir is to Buick as Denali is to GMC.
We love our Regal TourX wagon. It gets a decent amount of attention for a ‘normal’ car but it’s nice that it’s unique and not everyone has one (it’s also just a damn good car). A woman in her 40s came up to us when we were parked and was so excited to ask about it because she “loves wagons” and we had to sadly tell…
I have no problem with this. It’s just a little hatchback. Okay to trade a couple mpg for a couple inches lift that make it easier to get in and out. Why shouldn’t Toyota make a boring little CrossTrek competitor? My mom loves her Kona, it’s the ideal grandma mobile. Safe, cheap, easy to operate, just enough tech…
