I always name my cars. It’s a running joke between my friends and I.

Oh I could change the tire. But my wife was freaking out and didn’t want me to since there were cars going 80 MPH one foot from the flat tire. And why would I drive two hours home on I-65 on a temporary spare? Just because people do it doesn’t mean it’s smart.

February 2018:

As an owner of a Lordstown product, this makes me sad.

Not that I’m in a group on Facebook that celebrates these cars (Classic GM FWD Society), but anyway.

My friends have a 2003 Windstar with a blown engine. It made it 140,000 miles before it decided to throw a rod for seemingly no reason (had plenty of oil and never went over on oil change intervals). This is after three or so years of constant, nagging problems such as water pump, crankshaft position sensor, assorted

Thanks!

The original owner was an 88-year-old woman that passed away in January of this year. The folks I got it from bought it from her estate sale to use as a daily beater and work car. They decided it was too nice for that, so they posted it for sale and I snapped it up as quickly as I could.

Yeah this one has the 2.0 and 96 horses, some of which have probably died since 1990. But, I still love it. It drives well and is so tiny, it’s like a go-kart. Makes my daily driver (a 2016 Mazda6) feel downright huge.

Thanks!

I wish mine had the 3.1 but it didn’t become the optional engine until 1991. Even then, my car has like zero options (only options are a/c - which has been converted to R134a and works well, automatic, and a tape player) so it wouldn’t have it, anyway. I’m stuck with the 2.0 and 96 blazing horsepower. I still love it,

If I was closer, I’d have 100% taken my Sunbird to the Dream Cruise.

I have a 2016 Touring and it’s 184 HP never feels blazing fast but it doesn’t feel slow, either. Merging onto the interstate or passing on a two lane road hasn’t been an issue, at least.

This is so stupid. People are so stupid. My car beeps several times if I get out of it with my key when it is on. And, I can hear, so I know when the engine is running. Ugh.

Crossovers are where it’s at according to market trends and they don’t carry the MPG penalty that BOF trucks and SUVs of the ‘90s did. We have a ‘13 CX-5 and it gets roughly the same gas mileage as its platform mates (the 3 and 6). It rides and drives much like a car. Just has a slightly elevated seating position,

Spend a little bit more and get a new one with a full warranty.

These SUVs like the Renegade, EcoSport, CX-3, etc. are just so tiny. I can’t think of any reason to own such a small vehicle, but then again, I have a one-year-old son and his giant car seat made me upgrade from a Mazda3 to a Mazda6. Can’t imagine stuffing it in something like an EcoSport. That being said, if I was

My ex-stepmother drove a ‘99 Millenia S. I remember it as being quick, comfortable, and having an amazing Bose stereo. The heated seats were awesome too.

Same reason people still buy the Grand Caravan: it’s cheap. People will flock to just about anything if it’s cheap enough.

Damn. Mine is one of the affected ones. Wouldn’t be such a big deal if the dealer in my city wasn’t so incompetent.
