Are people already getting their insurance checks to buy replacement cars? That was fast.

I would suggest that all work on I-65 be completed but considering it’s been under construction of some sort since I was born, I doubt that suggestion would go anywhere.

Exactly. My wife’s Mazda CX-5 says “Range: 0 miles” when there’s 2-3 gallons left in the tank. My 6 does that, too. Although I’ve never had my 6 that low.

I’ve never been interested in diesel purely because diesel costs so much compared to gasoline here.

My aunt and one in the ‘70s and loved it. She cried when it was totaled. Someone rear-ended it and pushed her into the car in front of her. I’d imagine the Ghia crumpled quite a bit.

That’s what I did. I wanted a bigger car (my ‘08 Mazda3 wasn’t cutting it with an infant seat - my wife would’ve had to ride in the back and the dog would be up front with me on trips) and more safety. Got a 2016 Mazda6 in October 2015 at 2.98% for 72 months. I’m still not upside down, so I’m feeling okay. Putting my

Looks like an old school little Jeep that could be fun to off-road and also a steadfast reliable daily driver, a la the old Cherokee.

This. Got my new Mazda6 as my “dad car”, and immediately put Husky Liners floor mats in the front and back. They’ll at least catch some of the barf. I hope.

None of the Ford products you mentioned have the newer Ecoboost motors. That’s my source of concern. I’d drive a Ford from before that. My previous car, a 2008 Mazda3, was basically a Euro market Ford Focus under the skin, so I pretty much did. And it was problem free for 6 years and 60,000 miles.

The thing that has steered me away from Fords (briefly considered a Fusion for myself and an Escape with the Ecoboost for my wife) was reliability, or the lack thereof. The 2013 Escape is up to 14 recalls now, with more than one relating to a fire risk. No thanks.

I’m from and still live in his hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky and the city is taking it hard. It’s not often someone from here becomes so successful. He was some of the pride of this town.

Insanity. I can’t even imagine.

That’s true. I love my 6. It is a great car. I’d wanted one since this design was first introduced. I just miss my little 3 hatch every now and then.

First of all: What is this service where you trade in a car and they drop your new one off and take the old one away? Is this a Honda thing?

Definitely. And I live in Kentucky, so we have plenty of that.

It’s a crossover and seen as “small” by Americans. Most people assume the CX-9 is for families.

Exactly. Once we have two kids, we’ll upgrade to a CX-9. That’s all. Nothing bigger.

Activities that may lead to having kids, though.

Ha. Thanks. He does 5-6 hours of sleep at once now, but he’s also in this cute stage where if he isn’t asleep then he’s borderline fussy. But he is cute, so it’s okay.

My wife and I have two vehicles: a 2016 Mazda6 i Touring and a 2013 Mazda CX-5 Sport. We have one child, a son, and he is seven-weeks-old as of today.
