Im also convinced Mazda will fit this car with a rotary range extender If It comes to the US since the range Is a little short for this side of the pond.
Came here for this. People like to bash on the Mazda system for not having a touch screen - and granted the rotary knob takes a little longer to learn - but after you are adapted to It you can fly around the system without even having to look. Its a really good feeling system and reminds me of the old clickwheel Ipods.
I don’t understand why cars don’t have rear facing DRLs - or just have the regular tail lights Illuminated when the standard front DRLs are on. Then at least If you aren’t observant enough to turn on your headlights, your car Is still lit from both ends.
The fact that the center area of the dash isn’t symmetrical bothers me to no end.
Well It’s based on the CX-30, so It should be a little bigger than the CX-3 (which, despite the name, Is based on the 2) and a little smaller than a CX-5. Im sure though that this will have less rear headroom and luggage space than the CX-30, and there does not appear to be any provision for a frunk.
well, If the battery Is mounted In the floor pan Tesla style - that could go a long way to solving that rigidity problem.
I really appreciate the fact that Mazda didn’t bring in some big fake grille - which would have been really easy to do seeing as how Integral their winged grille Is to their design language. I feel like that was acceptable during the earlier Iterations of all-electrics - but now thats a look thats extremely dated. It…
Can we all just appreciate that the graphic at the top is a FUCKING CYGNET.
The more common all-electric vehicles become, the weirder it is to see them with faces full of grille.
Reply All is one of my absolute favorites and is a great binge. Episodes are long, so its good for travel - and there is also a wide range of tone between episodes. Some are funny and conversational, and will have you laughing to yourself in the office - others are really well-reported thought pieces on the tradeoffs…
That is exactly what it looks like. It looks like a car designed for GTA or some other open-world game where they don’t license actual cars
My girlfriend has one of these. Can confirm its a great car. Easy to drive, super practical. Her dad bought it new and passed it on to her, it has well over 200 k and still runs great. She beats this shit out of it too, she rides horses and is constantly taking her Lexus off the beaten path to get to barns and events,…
Someone correct me if I’m wrong - but this seems to be the general standing of security for these devices.
Obligatory “Are turn signals also a BMW subscription” joke.
I don’t know how the system works in BMW - but could they even gatekeep a Carplay update since it runs off the phone? Apple doesn’t even communicate with the car itself, Carplay just receives updates along with iOS when your phone gets updates.
