ACAB - Emphasis on that first A.

Slideshow looks more like “Cars I was desperate enough to have sex in” or “Cars I wish I had sex in” not “cars that are good for having sex in”.

I have a 2008 G6 Sedan with 66k on the dial (yeah really).
I wouldn’t pay $4,600 for my car, I’m certainly not going to pay it for one with 151k on the dial.. LoL. Also, 2008 and 2009 are really horrid years for build quality - and the G6 was at this time a loss-leader car as they were deeply discounting them just to

....So what I’m hearing is, I managed to buy my Mazda 3 in dip of the market? ...I win again!

We have also confirmed that the Sky is Blue.

LoL - the reason all these laws and regulations exist today is exactly because of all the stuff USDM automakers did in their infancy. Talk about lost irony, not doing some basic searching or understanding history.

Seriously go watch literally any current docu-series on US automakers or you know, google it.

I literally don’t get some people on this site, except that they don’t actually know shit about cars and don’t actually care about cars other than as a status symbol and a way to say “Look at my wealth, I’m important, I care about the environment because I drive an EV - I’m the best of humanity” and that is how every

I supposes you have the citations to show all of this plan is in motion right?

I mean you wrote a wall of text like some authority on the matter without a single citation any where to show this is what is going on in the industry.

So are they doing these things - and you can show us the plans, or is this just what you

Yup, exactly. They ignore all this - industries that have supported auto manufacturing for a century suddenly shift to producing a different raw material for them but using many of the exact same methods and all the shady back room dealings and flaunting of trade law and environmental law.... all that has just stopped

Just as short sighted as the auto manufacterers who, after a century of mistreating workers, and spoiling the environment suddenly get a total pass from people because they build EV’s now - We don’t care that mining this stuff is just as bad for the environment, we don’t even give two effs what happens to the waste

You’re replying to a comment that compares it to a Ford, then say it’s “down on power” based on that comparison - right, that is what you mean when you said it’s “down on power” - as compared to what - the Ford we were talking about.

Do try and keep up.

But again, you’d be in a Ford, and how does Ford stack up in all the other areas here? Is that bump in HP worth a Ford in all the other categories?

Controversy makes clicks, unfortunately. Part of me thinks it’s mostly part of the show, take the stance that misses the point to some degree and let the commenters debate the nomenclature in the thread. Grievence media at it’s finest.

..but then you’d be driving a Ford, which I don’t really think is worth the HP bump in this comparison.

...Mazda’s new direction seems to have completely befuddled every single person on Jalopnik’s staff. The 3 isn’t a hot hatch even though they said that isn’t what it was supposed to be. Mazda is clearly trying to go more towards entry level luxury and thus price their cars for people that don’t perceive value in

Mine was the 2001 Subaru Impreza, specifically from some Tuner Car type magazine of the day that was featuring the cars dominance in WRC. I grew up in a GM family and with all that same ‘MURIKA attitude about cars engrained in me. I had never seen anything like this before. Already a big fan of Anime and Manga -

I think I see some empty space on the car for more ACCESS OK stickers.

Dirty cars always turn me off and almost always produce a ND vote from me.  At least take your personal crap out of the car before pics. Sheesh.

I love how this is always focused on men, but I see lots of women in the same sports cars.  Anyone care to take a crack at that one?

If you want wider adoption of EV’s the credits need to be targeted at the people who cannot afford them without it. ..the people buying EV’s don’t require a credit to afford it at all - it’s just a tax write off for these people.

Maybe where there is an actual OTD $25,000 EV that applied for the credit, this would make
