As someone that has recently done job hunting in a smaller rural job market I’ve experienced this. I’m educated and proven myself capable of doing any task from welding to programming but everyone wants a gold hooves specialist.

ok so movies get more or less pointlessly rebooted all the time. why don’t manfacturers reboot certain classics? Same tangible bits with all the relevant safety, drivability, and powertrain updates underneath? for the good of world and our souls? I’ll take a powder blue convertible, please.
