VW does a good job of platform sharing. Some manufacturers its really obvious when its a shared platform, VW generally manages to keep the uniqueness across models. (Though some of the Skoda / Seat versions look like rebadged Jetta / Golfs)

Hands down, the Volkswagen Beetle.
This:
Didn’t the Fox body underpin every Ford in the 80s and 90s? They probably still use it today on most of their stuff. I’d call that a win even though it’s horrible.
Ford struck gold with its C platform. Ford, Mazda, and Volvo shared the platform starting in the early 2000s.
The newer C2 is used by the Maverick, the Bronco Sport, the Escape, the Lincoln Z, and the Lincoln Nautilus.
My favorite family vehicle of all time, and I’ve mentioned it many times on Jalopnik, was my Mercedes R350. It was essentially a slightly-squashed minivan without sliders. Similar in many ways to the original Pacifica.
Fuck yeah. Our minivan was awesome. If you have active kids and need to haul them, their friends, and all their stuff, there’s no better way to go. Going out with your dad-guy buddies? Minivan. You can plug the cooler in the back, designate a driver, and party until it’s time for bed at 10:45.
I like the Hummer EV, mainly because the inside has a personality beyond “giant laptop in dash.” Its way too heavy, and way too expensive, but I do like the interior.
Paid only $90k for mine, less than what a well equiped sierra 1500 would cost.
This was the first thing I thought, I’ve never seen anyone ever say that the V12 E-Types were more desirable than the I6 ones. Mostly on looks but also performance, the six cylinder cars had higher top speeds and were a lot more raw to drive. Would I turn either down, no, but I’d much rather a series 1, series 1.5 or…
I think most youngsters have never seen the worst of the 71-73 cars, since the only pics you see anymore are the decent looking variations. And the 69/70 coupe was no looker either.
“For an added bonus, its included Rim Blow steering wheel gave the driver an option to sound the horn by squeezing the wheel.”
I usually prefer coupes to roadsters, but the standard E-Type’s greenhouse is kinda frumpy.
The 70-73 coupes are hideous and the convertibles are just as bad. I do like the “flatback” fastbacks, though. Those are pure 70s goodness.
I have never heard of the Grande, and now I wish you hadn’t mentioned it. Definitely worse than the II. Ugh, it’s going to haunt my dreams for a long time.
The disappearance of the ducks from the Cadillac logo. We used to be a proper country.
The Worst Ford Mustang
Ford rebranding the Taurus the Five Hundred. My Taurus wagon was one of the best cars I’ve owned. Why would you dump a best selling brand name for such a sucky one?
Infiniti was on a downward spiral and Cadillac was struggling anyway but, Anything the infamous Johan de Nysschen touched-
