Agreed, still cool car ‘eh?

Have some perspective for the times. Sure, that ‘82 FI Camaro needed 7 seconds for 0-60. But a Porsche 911 (or a Ferrari 308 for that matter) was barely faster than that. My ‘82 Subaru, a perfectly normal family sedan for the times, needed about 13-14. My ‘84 Jetta GLI, a rocket ship of a small sporting sedan at the

Counterpoint on the 3rd Gen Camaro - lapping quicker than a 928.

I’ll say it since nobody else has.

Though now iconic, the 1953 C1 Corvette was an absolute disaster at launch. Rushed into production, it had issues with water intrusion, poor handling, terrible fit and finish, leaking fluids, and doors that had a tendency to fly open unexpectedly. The oft-maligned Blue Flame V6 was the least of its problems. A survey

Former Third Gen Firebird owner here. They’re not comfortable or well built, but to say they don’t handle well is a bit of a stretch.

My cousin had an ‘85 Z28, and even riding with him it just never felt great. It handled like a boat and the V8 made great noises but didn’t get you anywhere any faster.

Considering how often the Mustang II front suspension has been used over and over by hot rods, street rods, and kit cars; the car has more legacy in the car world than it gets credit for.

A lot of this will depend on what you consider a “sports car”. Some would say the Camaro is a pony car not a sports car. But a pony car is a sub set of sports car. All pony cars are sports cars. Not all sports cars are pony cars.

Boo. Boo, I say. They went for the unconventional, they succeeded with the unconventional.

Sorry, saw the text of your message, but not the photo.

Alfa GTV/Spider.

I’d be down for an Ultium based Impala, the Ultium SUVs all generally look pretty good and seeing a sedan form factor would be nice

My vote goes to the Up! GTI, sadly discontinued.
If I were to relaunch it, i would give it the Polo rear suspension and brake set up and a couple more hps, for the perfect peppy citycar

S10-EV. The concept was a bit too far ahead of the technology, but with modern batteries this could be the ultimate urban work/delivery truck.

Coming from a Lexus fanboy, but the Lexus GS. I know, the demand for sedans is dying, but between the non-existent 2nd row of the IS and the too-boatlike-ride of the ES, there’s not a good inbetween for some of us who want something with more rear legroom but also sporty (hint hint bring back the GS-F). I know Lexus

We were in Europe last month and saw lots of interesting wagons and hatchbacks, but the best was a Toyota Corolla Hybrid wagon. Looked great as a longroof and if it were available we would add to our wagon fleet.

The Stinger, Kia’s Jaguar-XF-at-home. It looks good, it goes quick, and it arrived in the US just as Americans decided they were done with performance Sedans forever.

Need to ban forcing you to use an app to charge your car. Chargers should work just like gas pumps, with a debit card.

Amber - I do not understand your comment about “lane splitting” being what you see on You Tube. It is my understanding that Filtering and splitting share the same definition roughly.
