Not an avid tweeter, but letting people pay for the blue check has been a great way for the loudest and dumbest to pre-brand themselves, it's a decent warning system.

$36k is barely more than what people are paying now for a great engine wrapped around a crappy Elantra (that despite ~20 years if progress is barely faster).
This got a couple nominations, and they’re right.
Frankly, the twin-turbo PRV that was in development at the time DeLorean went bust is what the car should have been - it would have performed more than well enough to be competitive for the early 80's. Going for sheer power is a slight disservice to anything Colin Chapman had a hand in developing.
I guess they were looking for something outside of the same cliched dozen or so car songs that get published over and over?
Also, since the very beginning, the Mustang was a pretty pedestrian car with sportier styling, that started getting fun once you dug into the options (yes, some time around 2015 even the base model got pretty good). I’m not eager to see the Mustang drop EV altogether, but I’d love to see what Ford could do with taking…
Notice how they phrase it though, it’s the fastest car *from the N division*. Although, as best as I can tell (or be bothered to check), the fastest Hyundai in general is the Genesis coupe (certain specs good for 162 mph, so Hyundai not finding another 2 mph just seems lazy).
Because I owned a pair of Hyundai Accents from when Hyundais were miserable, all Hyundais and Kias are now slightly tarnished with misery. They’ve come a long way, I should desperately want a Stinger (and respect the few people that bought them), but I’ll get in one and something stupid like the door handles feeling…
I still have the factory tires for my car (it’s 9 years old) that need replacing due to both age and wear - not a DIY job, but relatively minor. But because they’re so sketchy in the rain, I’m still on winter tires because I haven’t gotten to a shop (I know it’s not great for tire life to drive them in warmer weather,…
Where the fuck have you been that people don’t think Trump is evil, and completely missed that Musk has far too many sycophants who indulge his worst impulses. While some of Musk’s questionable behaviours may be linked to autism spectrum traits, it’s that he’s doubled down on his awfulness rather than trying to work…
So, who actually cares what Cara Delevigne thinks about F1? Not to insinuate if she (or any other celebrity) have no insight, just that, why her rather than some anonymous venture capitalist (or similar) who paid their way in? Does anyone actually get anything from random celebrities being grilled? I have to imagine…
I want to try exactly that (well, Princess Auto instead of Harbor Freight because Canadian), although I really don’t trust the janky wiring in my house, so maybe one day after extensive renovations.
I'm on the autism spectrum, and we should collectively drag the hell out of Elon Musk. It's one thing to maybe have trouble looking people in the eyes, to struggle to articulate yourself, or to get caught up in expressing your enthusiasm for Streamline Moderne-era trains, it's another to be an awful human being who…
In retrospect, I’m shocked no one nominated the second generation Escalade.
I might be misinterpreting what you’re saying, but it wasn’t a one-off time travel device, it was just basically a compass pointing to time rifts connecting two specific points in time, but as it was left in ~200BC to go sit on the floor of the Mediterranean for another 2000 years, it’s as neutered as any of the other…
There’s enough not great movies that still found an audience, seems like a perfectly average tween adventure movie from the trailer.
