Looks and probably drives a bit like a Jag F-Pace, but built by Mazda? I’m not mad about that.

I sort of struggle with the lack of cheap compelling EV options - after rebates, a Chevy Bolt is about twice as much as what I spent on my current car (albeit 9 years ago), and past that there’s not much until I’m spending about 3 times as much on a Kia EV6. But then, good cheap ICE options are drying up as well, I’m…
Pretty much - it looked decent, period reviews are pretty favourable (not a BMW, dynamics-wise, but at least competent) - it was possibly the best compromise at making a proper Cadillac that would still attract younger buyers (I mean, other than the Escalade).
I think the Seville STS was the last gasp at potential relevance, and and Northstar blew that. It was at least a reasonably modern sedan that might didn’t feel like it was designed for the retired. The Catera had some reliability issues (some that I think carried over to the much more popular CTS), but just didn’t…
The Northstar 100% did far more to sink Cadillac’s reputation rather than the Catera. Although, from the 70's and 80's, V8-6-4, Olds Diesels, and early 4100s were all pretty bad.
Adjacent to reliability, Mazda doesn’t seem to have entirely shaken its reputation for rust (at least in enthusiast circles), even though they seem to have made huge improvements 10-15 years ago. Like, it wasn’t weird to see a first-gen 3 that looked like it spent a couple years on the floor of the North Atlantic…
If you don't hear that in Cliff Clavin's voice, I don't want to know you
They might shy away from any weird cult jokes if they want Laura Prepon to keep showing up.
With the central transmission, I wonder if the torque steer would actually have been relatively neutral (equal length driveshafts, presumably), akin to the handful of FWD cars that made it to production with “conventional” longitudinal engines.
Not only that, usually better to witness a cold start on your own, rather than having it warmed up before you see it.
From some amount of professional experience, I might be wary of an ex-rental Camaro or Mustang (or basically anything Mopar with a V8), but yes, your typical Camcordima is probably being driven by a business traveler who doesn’t want to make a career limiting move like writing off a rental car, and has driven so many…
An adult’s bicycle, new in box, will just barely fit in the back seat of a Toyota Avalon (also lacking fold-down rear seats), with careful manipulation.
