    Jason, I think comparing it to a LX isnt fair, Coz sizewise as well as platformwise its different ( Lexus - body on frame, has low range gearing). Sizewise its almost equal to GX yet again it misses out on not being a body on frame and absence of low range gearing.

    This boil downs to a simple equation Market demand = supply. You can always option your car for tyres with bigger sidewall. But then it might hurt ego; thicker side walls = base car/less optioned car.

    I think you forgot about Ford investing in Rivian. I think Ford is thinking on the lines of “Make hay while the sun lasts” i.e, sell more SUVS/Trucks until the segment goes Boom. They smartly are phasing out their sedan business on the whiff of slowing sales; unlike Hyundai/Nissan/Toyota.
