I think it comes down to what you are doing the story for. An RPG, to me at least, is an animated story. I do admit, super long intos (i'm looking at you Kingdom Hearts 2) can pretty much kill a game but to some extent, you have to explain the world the player is in. The more outlandish and abstract from reality it

Getting a little bit of fame and cash and then burning it by upgrading everything is exactly how a lot of celebrities the world over end up going broke once their 15 minutes is up. I applaud her for staying in a meager living at least till she's sure she can solidify some income. Entertainment, regardless of the

For me, Skyward Sword fell flat once I truly grasped how small the world map was. It just felt like I was cheated once I realized "oh, you gotta go back to the same 3 areas like 5 times". Now granted, that's how darn near every Zelda is I know but this one just felt so much more...repetitive after that point. The new

Ahh dreamcast. if ONLY we had gotten half the games the Japs did... Oh well. On a side note (the topical image brought this to mind), Sega, if they still have the rights to it, need to give the Yakuza team a green light on a full remake of Shenmu. I think it'd be awesome!

Atlus...oh you loveable bastards you. Don't stop being you!

Probably didn't have a lot of game titles you cared for or the controller might have just been an annoyance for you. So long as it's a valid reason like that, no shame here. Now if you're just some weird fanboy that's like "SEGA FOREVER"...then you're weird.

Gengar and Scyther. Gengar cause he's evil...I mean the game literally admits that he will lead you to your death. And Scyther because...well...he has friggin swords for arms. If I threw in legendaries, Mew-Two, hands down. Again, cause he's evil looking.

I play different when playing a game with permadeath because i usually do let the death go through so long as it wasn't due to like a really stupid mistake or it was someone I liked as a person. If I lost and it was fair and square, I just shrug, salute the game and beat the living HELL out of that enemy.

To add to what Inkmonkey said about VC, they also added in an additional feature that, to get ALL the characters in the game, you HAVE to let some lesser characters perma-die. I liked that.

See, even the creator of the SERIES prefers Snake to Raiden.

You said VI was the greatest, and for that, you may live. The rest of this list is inconsequential to me. But I'd kick 10 a few more notiches up the list though cause, when you sit and think about it, it had a better story than 7 by far. Cloud = emo for no damn reason cept losing his hometown...oh wait, he doesnt'

Hmmm I can agree with all of your pics except vincent. You've heard all the hate from other folks so I won't repost that. Just felt kinda sad that other, ACTUAL vampires couldn't take that spot...oh well.

It should be a dating sim where you pick a gender and make your character and if you're a demon or angel and then you gotta go on dates to find your lover from one of the series and if you piss one of them off on the date, you gotta fight them to the death! And then take their soul and use them in battle later on.

I saw the placeholder for the slider when my page first loaded but thought it was just a video placeholder. Wasn't till i was reading the article and they actually mentioned the slider that I went back up and saw it. I've seen this done on one or two other articles and I really like it. Gives a nice way to compare

Doooooooooooooooes this mean it will also be getting a complete upgraded remake of Pokemon Red and Blue? If so, I'd hard core shell out cash for it. Heheheh I know it doesn't but woldn't that be great?

I approve of this dickishness. And how does this sound bitter?

tank u.

I hate it when your right...

Here here. I read it as saying "A year of pushing out shit no one really wants to 'play' just stuff people want to do to kill time while waiting for their REAL games to get here. I mean, I know there's a decent amount of money in the mobile game industry right now but that just seems like something a fledgling

Ahhh Tactics. It wasn't until the PSP port that I actually looked up how much depth was in this game and really started tailoring my characters and HOLY SHIT!. Their sub-systems have sub-systems for breakage man. Next to this, the next best SRPG is Disgaea, no question. The story isn't as epic but its still badass and
