He's just a blue collar worker, man. Just like any number of people that make their living by breaking the law, he has the right to prevent himself from getting caught. Or something.

Nothing at all wrong here. It's got 4 wheel drive and A/T tires, and it's driving on dirt / gravel roads with no problems. Also targeting a younger non-redneck demographic. Pretty much exactly what it's intended to do. Move along now.

Sad, sad, sad state of homogenization. Beige Camrys, Beige stucco Walmarts, beige ice cream.

Are you nuts?

Say what you will about atomic age architecture, but it was far more interesting and adventurous than the faux Villa/Chateau that has been festering for the last 20 years. Market, post office, Shopping center, Condos, Mc Mansion tracts all the same stucco covered styrofoam accents all in Brown, Beige, or Taupe.

This is cool and all, but let me be the first to say fuck this thing.

I like it....do I want one? I'm not sure yet. FWD, probably pass with AWD maybe it really is going to depend on how it drives.

Now playing

All I can think of when I see that bridge. Such a depressing / beautiful song.

If you manage to somehow avoid the slow tourist traffic the PCH is pretty awesome. Especially between Carmel and Big Sur.

Yep. Awesomely unreliable and incapable of being competitive with the 300ZX, Supra, RX-7, NSX and Skyline GT-R, all of which it faced competition from in its home market.

It's an extremely capable vehicle, but you might as well be driving a panel van for all the visibility that thing provides. As someone with a few of the vintage FJ-40/45's I think Toyota tried, but didn't quite get there with the FJ Cruiser. It just wasn't able to capture enough of the past and marry it with current

When I was in Afghanistan, I was stuck on an Afghan army base for almost a year and a half. Fortunately I had myself a global Ranger with a diesel and a stick shift. They got tired of people driving too fast, so they MacGyvered some speed bumps by taking 12" steel pipe, cutting it in half, and bolt it to the street.

What a linkbait headline. Nowhere does it say "the Jeeps sold in America will continue to be made in America"

He owns a franchise of a business. It's not an independent business.

Well, motocross rider Jack Field certainly makes it look easy.

1977 was still the HOLY SHIT OVERSTEER! era. I can't imagine an iron-block V8 helping with that. This would probably be a lot of fun right up until it kills you.

"gas mileage is far from spectacular"?

I think 33mpg highway for something this size with a good AWD system is pretty respectable. These have a ton of space in them. At least as much as any other CUV in the class and nobody else comes close to 33mph hwy with AWD.

Can't really blame them for ditching the manual. As much

There is something wrong with your eyes. This new one is much different looking.

Sad to see them drop the 6-speed manual, though it is unsurprising. I doubt the take rate was even worth them having offered it on the last gen model.

Doesn't seem like as drastic of a change as I expected, though I'll reserve final judgement until I see more photos. I don't understand why they use the H6 instead of the 2.0L turbo in the WRX/FXT.
