Awesome!!! Can we get a Jean Luc Picard voice as well, Garmin?

@wjglenn: I use it for about the same things. Altho I must admit, it's got more HP than I thought it actually would. I can be on MSN, Chrome, Media player (streaming family guy from my desktop) and running another application, no problem. I laugh when people compare it to a smartphone. A netbook is FAR more capable

I love my netbook. But the trick to loving it is two-step -

@justinpe: What it shows is that the Android gameplan is not to be one definitive phone but be the platform for the majority of phones going forward. If half of the Top 4 smartphones to own is already Android-based, it shows future power.

@justinpe: So? Things change. Everyone at one point only used to buy American cars in America.

@OUBeaver: I have a 3G connection on my G1 but I use Edge just fine.

I'm not sure if Gizmodo is all that non-partisan. Clearly the Nexus One is the phone to have.

Maybe Sony should focus on picture quality instead of tricks? The 10MP Sony P&S I have takes poorer pictures than my 5yr old 3.2MP Canon P&S.

@Noobs-R-Us: You think Steve Jobs is not a geek?

@Noobs-R-Us: I'm not getting your drift. You call out Google for being nerdy but how are they any different from a company like Apple or HP?

@Noobs-R-Us: Let me guess...the "iPhone" is pure genius to you, right?

What's the big deal? It's all marketing terms anyway.

@vinod1978: HPs cover a pretty wide-range from budget to very expensive machines.

@Sam Packard: I'm not sure why some people think netbooks = smartphone. The last time I checked, I can't run Office on my smartphone. My netbook can. I can also stream videos to my 10-inch screen from my PC. It has a 92% keyboard. And netbooks don't need data plans...a business person can simply use Wi-fi. It actually

@indiecraig: If you need more than 1GB of RAM in a $300 netbook, you're looking for a CULV.

And they DIDN'T have a press conference for this??
