My hot take is that the big grill is going to damage their EV business. The ONLY car in their lineup with the smaller “classic” looking kidney shape is the i3. Carmakers are already having trouble figuring out how to design the front of EVs without the need for a grill. Even Tesla only really nails it on the modern

That’s the one.

The part that is terrifying to me isn’t that there are things in the ocean that will eat me. Sharks make sense. It is the fact that any old regular fish can just get big enough to eat me. There ought to be more fish size regulation IMHO.

I realize that I’m probably the only one anywhere in the world. But I’d love an electric minivan.

I always had hit or miss experience with finding decent free ebooks through any of Amazon’s “free” programs. But using Libby or Hoopla library apps is great. I can’t recommend them enough.

4th gear: I’m not sure Cadillac has any eggs to put in more than one basket.

Jartek is a massive scammer and was removed by reddit admins for trying to monetize the sub.

Dealerships are the opposite of trying to reach a human in customer service:
“Or press 0 to speak to our robot instead...”

Just let her drive it. I have one, my wife loves the interior, loves driving it, and is indifferent on the exterior. It is 100% a blast to drive and IMHO one of the best deals on the used car market.

As someone who is considering a used Tesla, I look at range more than performance. I don’t know how others search but if I’m not the only one, then range might be a resale factor.

I’m 6'2" with a giant head BEFORE I put on a helmet and had a scooter for a few years. I looked ridiculous but it was so much fun, it was worth it.

I have a 2015 REx and a 2016 Subaru Outback. The Outback has had more issues, cost more in repairs/maintenance, been more of a hassle at the dealership, and isn’t even close in the “fun” dept. I did buy my REx used so maybe any kinks were ironed out before I got. It is the first car that I owned that I LOVED. I do get

My predictions:
1. Nissan will continue to have a terrible year
2. Tesla will stabilize somewhat and start to grow into a normalish car company UNLESS Musk goes out of his way to do something crazy like form a parent company and put all his other stuff under it.
3. An EV from a company other than Tesla will be a big hit

I have a theory about that. I think it is because traditional automakers have yet to figure out the front end of EVs. Even Tesla took years to ditch the fake grill and are still only nailing the front end of the model S and X. Everyone else’s front end looks like they didn’t know what to do there.

1. How do you feel about driving it over time? I got a 2015 i3 and love it over a year later. I thought I might get bored, but driving electric still feels like a spaceship. Since you drive so many other cars, I’m interested in how your relationship with the car changes over time.
2. How much of an impact do the new

Also, car designers are still baffled by how to design EVs that don’t need a grill:

I do think there is a long term shift to remote working, but that just kicks the ball a little further down the road. Even if there is a smaller percentage of commuters, the actual numbers will increase as the work force grows with the population. Additionally, after the pandemic we can assume that non-work related

I feel like this is perpetually the question of the day. We are a two car family. One ICE and one EV. We make a million allowances for ICE vehicles because that’s our habit. EVs have different inconveniences. For some people those are legitimate deal breakers, for most people at this point they are preferential

I mean, they’re basically all Virtual Trucks at this point.

I have an i3 REX (2016) and a 50 mile commute when I was in an office. It has been great so far EXCEPT the 12v battery died and the car basically locks up. Apparently they are only good for 4-5 years-ish. You can replace it yourself but the computer needs to be reset. I towed it to the dealer and the whole process was
