Certainly there's a certain joke for the viewer about the idea that present-time can be so apathetic, deshumanizing, esterile and distant thst it might as well be a futuristic city on the moon. An ideé fixé on European cinema at the time (Tati's Mon Ocle, the beginning of Solaris). It plays on our expectations as
