That’s a very interesting theory, but the problem with it is that Farouk is most certainly a narcissist and that whole presentation surely had something to do with him, so why would he explain narcissism as a delusion, and would he even be aware of it? I don’t think any narcissist is aware they are one, that would be

And even tougher considering how little we know about Future Syd and whatever happened in her timeline.

Pretty sure that’s merely egotism by said writer and yourself, which is perhaps a lesser manifestation of the same phenomenon (ego dominance) but still significantly less bad.

I think you completely misunderstood the point of that Hamm interlude, it was very clearly about the delusion of narcissism rather than anything to do with technology or Black Mirror. Technology and shadows in caves were just used as a means of illustrating the point.

It certainly looks somewhat similar to this

I think it was the shin but your point still stands.

Yeah Babylon Berlin is also pretty good, haven’t finished the 1st season yet but am enjoying it at my own pace. Not quite as good as Dark though.

That is not a good show, I forced myself to finish it because Sam Esmail recommended it and surely it had to get better. Instead it kept getting worse.

That’s probably THE thing about Berlin clubs. The party often starts on Saturday night and doesn’t stop until Monday eve, and many people only go out dancing during the day, especially those of us inching towards the wrong end of our 30's and beyond. It’s particularly wonderful in the summer when many clubs start

Well I thought this was a brilliant episode, best of the season so far and maybe only second to last season’s Chapter 7 in the whole series. Made me both think and feel, and Rachel Keller was stellar.

Have to say that was maybe the first realistic techno club scene I’ve seen in any movie or TV series. They tend to be so over the top in terms of the music, fashion and choreography, and when they’re not then it’s the opposite and you find the characters being able to have a normal-voice non-shouting dialogue in the

This might be a really dumb question but I can’t completely work it out - are the events in this episode what happened after David got out of the orb, or are they a continuation of the “linear” chronology that started in the last episode (i.e. 1 year later)? Some things point towards the former and some the latter.

+1 for the score, probably the best scoring on TV right now.

I’m actually surprised it was being considered for renewal, the last season seemed to end on a fairly final note, at least for certain major characters without whom the series would fall apart. Really enjoyed these 4 seasons, I’m gonna miss it, and yet happy for it to end exactly the way it did.

I actually thought at the end of the last one “hmm, not sure where they go from here. Seems like a good way to end it.” Surprised it was actually being considered for renewal.

The problem with Parnassus wasn’t that it was a mess, it was that it made no sense on an aesthetic or emotional level. I can see what he was going for but it was awfully executed and just looked cheap on a purely visual level. Of course the Heath Ledger thing didn’t help, that’s just his luck... but I think Ledger

Was so looking forward to this when it was originally set to be made... Terry Gilliam was and always will be one of my favourite directors. Alas, that original doomed odyssey with this production seems to have killed him creatively seeing as he hasn’t made a good film since pre-production started on it in 1998 (and

Indeed, but that’s new old music, not the real groundbreaking stuff that’s come to represent what we knows as contemporary/modern classical music like Steve Reich, Luigi Nono, Philip Glass, Stockhausen, Boulez etc.

Seriously, did nobody else catch one of Noah’s three recent strange events which may indicate a forthcoming apocalypse being “a well-known politician attempted to delete his FBI files”?

Saying Westworld is the reason we don’t need Dune is like saying it’s fine now, we don’t need the Eiffel Tower since we have 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
