IDK, while the Google Play Store was far from perfect, I would bet that the alternative stores are going to rife with malware.

Where in this did they recommend or endorse nefarious activity?
They both have legitimate uses, but they are actively promoting the tool as a means to produce “mischief” which in this case amounts to “criminal mischief”. If you had a gun ad that promoted using the weapons for criminal mischief then you might have a point, but I have seen no such promotion so maybe stop being so…
In fairness, this family of sites leans HEAVILY in favour of gun control across their pages, including here on Gizmodo. They have regularly snarked the lack of gun control whenever it comes up in mass shootings and other gun related crimes.
It is never appropriate to suggest people should buy hacking devices to use against others that they dislike. That’s fucked up.
In what way does this article suggest you buy ,”hacking devices to use against others that they dislike.” Or even suggest malicious intent?
What isn’t Chinese-built these days? thats not the comeback you think it is.
There are countries I think you should check out that are more aligned with your feelings about freedom and nannystates….try China or Russia maybe! Freedom is a thing, just because some assholes use something negative we should ban it? Well better ban guns, food and medicines too right?
These days, given that just about everyone carries a camera in their phone, that’s particularly telling.
But they always forget their camera...
Let’s use the proper term - they weren’t over-hunted, they were exterminated. The desired end of the bounty program was the elimination of the species in Tasmania.
Why would the FAA approve it going up without asking how it’s going to get down?
...except it’s in LEO. It’s coming down no matter what. FAA and USAF can’t stop it. They can only control where and when. And the longer they refuse, the less control they will, too.
It’s being denied now instead of before launch because they didn’t apply for it earlier. Yeah, it kind of puzzles me too. I wonder if they thought they’d encourage the FAA to be more willing to approve it this way, but they may have actually aggravated their case by trying to force the matter. Never piss off…
Me, sitting in my tin can in outer space: “Oh, you’re denying me reentry? I’d like to see you try to stop me!”
Let me take a guess... potential conflict of interest in the $28 B federal budget?
It’s in low orbit. It’s very definitely going to reenter, eventually. The question is about when and where.
How do you procede with launching an expensive/critical thing like this without having pre-approval for getting it back?
What truly gripes my ass about this is the fact that the expensive Canon L lenses I have require some type of adapter to use with the new mirrorless cameras. That’s why I’m sticking with my 5D for a while yet.
