We have a 6.0 GMC Savanna here at work, and it’s no speed demon. To me it feels like 1st gear is WAY too tall even though it’s a 6-speed.

I mean, it’s probably the coolest vehicle in the SUV-that-can’t-tow-much-or-really-even-go-offroad segment... So there’s that?

I agree with your premise, but I think calling them Tall Station Wagons gives them too much credit. I’d go with something like PUV for Phony Utility Vehicle or RMV for Really a Mini Van.

Agreed... If you get on Autotrader, you’ll see brand spankin’ new 460hp Mustangs and 455 hp Camaros marked down below $30k.

It seems kind of silly to invest all that R&D in tires, what with flying cars being just 2 years away and all.

Yeah, an electric van would be a camping game changer... Even without shore power, you’d have enough battery capacity to run the A/C for a long time.

Doesn’t look very LSish to me either... It looks to me like an OHC motor with super short ITB’s.

My reason #2 for wearing ear plugs is so that when I feel something moving around in my helmet, I don’t have worry about it going into my ear and burrowing into my brain.

You also have remember the biggest limiting for a motorcycle on a 0-60 run is keeping the front wheel on or near the ground.

YASS!! If nothing else, it’ll force manufacturers to have hilarious homologation versions of their cars and and we’ll get stuff like a Camry with an option package that comes with a full-on race jack and and impact in the trunk.

Given how Australia has recently been ravaged by wild fires, do you think a sick burn like that is really appropriate?

I always wondered how they keep from cross-threading them all the time.

Harley is malaise-era GM... It’s just they managed to keep their malaise era going much much longer.

Yeah, 8 hp is on par with a Honda Grom... So this thing weighs more than a fully loaded Goldwing, and has Grom power.

...Except I dare you to find a manufacturer who will say they build a car model that they don’t optimize the timing of.

They should’ve been over 400 hp years ago. A 310 hp 2020 STi is laughable when you remember the 2004 STi had 300hp and a 2004 Mustang GT had 260 hp.

Eh, that argument used to hold more water back when cars didn’t have stability control and the only things that kept you out of the ditches were your wits and hand-eye coordination.

True but for the same money you could, say, hire an architect and a custom builder and literally have a 4,000 sq ft home custom built to your specifications.

What I don’t like about the Gladiator is that they very obviously repurposed the Wrangler’s doors for cost savings, and that vestigial slant of the back door is to clear a fender that doesn’t exist.
