Only tangentially related as I’ve never driven one, but the Kenworth 963 has recently entered the sphere of things I’m aware that exist, and I now want to drive one more than anything.

Makes sense, right? They could be a little bit heavier. I mean, they make them now like papier-mâché. Somebody touches them and the entire car collapses. When somebody hits me, I want to be in as close to an army tank as possible. No, they’re made out of papier-mâché. They weigh about three pounds and if you get hit

Ah, but you forget the Cobalt SS, good sir.

I think the reuse of cells is actually not endless. There is only so much need for expensive on site battery storage. As far as the cells go (which are rapidly switching over the the larger 2170, not the standard 18650) its nice that some can be repurposed, but that still doesn’t really answer the question of end of

Eh, 4 and 6-point cages are okay since there shouldn’t be bars anywhere your head might hit in a crash. 8+ point cages with no helmet can be problematic.

If we were talking about Hart crashing in a stock cuda, I’d be with you. He had major work done that made the car much more dangerous on the highway

2nd gen R32's only came with 2 pedals and are therefore garbage. $17k would easily get you into a similar mileage Golf R though, which has AWD, 3 pedals, and 4-doors (or 5 if your a pedant) from the factory.

This... And if you absolutely had to have an AWD 4-door Golf, you can pick up 100,000 mile Golf R’s for less money.

If taxis are outlawed, then only outlaws will drive taxis!

A moratorium on new lane miles would accomplish multiple climate goals at once. It would, of course, put a halt to the most obvious elements of induced demand. It would also halt sprawl, encouraging denser living which might—just might!—encourage folks to walk or bike in their cities, to say nothing of public

You’re not... There’s been videos of unknown objects blowing the doors off our fastest fighter jets for a while now. I also see them and think “Uhhhh, shouldn’t this be a bigger deal than a single 30 second blurb on the news?”

I’ve seriously considered building a kit car off and on over the years... (I still have a bit of a hard-on for a Brunton Super Stalker)

Count me in for an electric cargo/camper/moto-van with a huge battery!

Simple answer is best answer.

I think Lethal Weapon has to be in contention. You could buy all the cars to recreate the chase today from Craigslist for like $3,000 all-in.

There’s been a lot of articles about how millenials aren’t getting any... And Gen X-ers are starting to get to menopause age, so I guess it kind of makes sense there’d be a decline on “oopsies”.

Unrelated to colors, but I didn’t notice up until that last picture that Ford built their unavoidable super wide sill into the door instead of the car... Meaning this is one of the few supercars that wouldn’t completely suck to get in and out of.  Kudos to Ford on that.

Yeah, it’s a helluva lot of bike... I managed to find an ex-racebike that was stripped down and dialed in for cheap.. It’s very easy to ride fast, yet very hard to push to the point you feel like you’re approaching what it’s fully capable of.

Current track bikes are a ‘15 ZX-6R and an ‘08 CBR1000RR... which presently share the garage with three other non-track bikes.

Jesus... ANOTHER article on the C8?
