Really Nice Old Car + Winter Driving = Rusty Old Car

I usually don’t care about any ultra limited production, gajillion dollar cars these days, but the 935 makes my pants fit funny.

Underrail guard or not, you’re not walking away from a crash where your body goes from 68 to 0 in the length of your crumple zone.

This is the other reason most people don’t drive manuals... They’re simply not available. I would’ve driven 5 hours to find a version of my truck with a stick, but it didn’t exist... To find anything other than a sports car with a clutch pedal these days is basically hunting for a unicorn.

Scenario 2 addendum:

But... But... I’ve read a million articles on this very site saying Uber is an evil corporation for not paying their drivers more or allowing them to unionize... all while the higher-ups in the company spend their days literally swimming in cash like Scrooge McDuck??????

You have to adjust horsepower for inflation as well. The outgoing MKIV had 320 hp in 1998, which is 475 in 2020 horsepower.

Motorhomes are basically houses built on top of a heavy duty steel frame. I’ve seen a couple after a roll-over and yeah, the house part isn’t the sturdiest... The Frames, however, are pretty damn beefy.

Also worth noting that a solid barrier test simulates a crash between the motorhome and a vehicle of equal mass.

Well, they weren’t wrong... They were just 30 or so years ahead of their time.

Probably a lot higher than putting charging stations in at truck stops.

The only time those dual motors will need 450hp is when you’re WOT. Over the course of a typical 3 hour drive, about how much time do most people spend with the throttle pinned? 5-10 seconds? As long as you start with enough juice, the battery shouldn’t get low enough where that’d be a concern.

I’ll take the one in a gazillion change that Yellowstone may erupt tomorrow over the likli I would be literally eaten alive by my hunger crazed fellow astronauts when the food runs out.

By most estimates, the singularity is going to happen within the next 50 years. That’ll be when, from a technological standpoint, shit’s going to pop off.

And who pays $7500 for a set of OEM Corvette wheels???

I feel like they should have “I went to outer space and all I got was this lousy Range Rover.” engraved somewhere on that.

I’ve always been baffled why people think populating other planets is even viable.

That is the correct take. There are a lot of Republicans who would happily take a moderate Democrat over Trump.

YOU LEAVE YOUR GODDAMN FACTS OUT OF THIS DISCUSSION!!

I’ve had dead batteries, and I’ve had bad alternators, but I’ve never had a car suddenly lose electrical to everything and go completely dark while driving.
