I’d drive the everloving shit out of a Marauder.. a stock one. The manual’s cool, but turbos? Disregarding the fishy ad, still a crack-pipe.

I might be in the minority but I liked the V grille on the Maxima. It was when they shrunk it down and smashed it onto the Sentra that looked bad. Poor little car looked like someone made gorilla cookies with its face

I think the most important thing to remember here is if Peugeot does well in the US, Renault might come, and RENAULT OWNS ALPINE. Which means I need a better-paying job NOW.

oh god I want a french car so badly.. that’s not even sarcasm

The Giulia looks great, extra great in white, but in case anyone hasn’t said it yet: there is a front quarter view angle in which those headlights do look a little... Chris Bangle. Overall, happy to see the non-Quad version doesn’t look cheap.

*applause*

3rd Gear: Ripping out the carpet? That was a move to sober up the workforce and show strength through principle. Picking up the phone and leaving his door open? That’s more a sign of things to come, I hope. These companies are responsible to the public, whether they like it or not.

I would so totally build a Beetle out of catalog parts. With Landau eagles and velour.

PR people write like they please themselves to their own catalog write-ups... If you have to work yourself up about a car with the written equivalent of imaginative (yet ultimately half-hearted) wanking, maybe you’re doing something wrong. “Seamless anticipation.. Leading edge.. finesse.”

If it comes I hope it’s an Infiniti. Nissan would just shit it up with a CVT.

Sonnetts make me weak in the privates

I’m thinking this is what he meant by that

some of my less car-inclined friends have insisted on multiple occasions that the Dodge Viper has a V-12. I could physically remove the cylinder head on one and they wouldn’t believe me. Why? I have no idea.

Just reading this article now. I’ve gone back and read articles from 15 years ago that talk about the 9-3 being low on lag, but even the base model OG9-3 has a considerable amount by today’s standards (I have one myself). The gas pedal’s almost like an on/off switch for the turbo.. But being able to walk away from

Maybe U.S. Focuses will command more value in the used market haha. Reminds me of the Stratocaster in Wayne’s World.

Hah, the foreign guy on Jalopnik speaks better English than Chevrolet does! Also, Maté, please keep doing these forever. I love Paper Jam so much.

Great idea for a regular column. As for a V8-powered 928? It gives me the same feeling I get after eating at Hardee’s.. A little vomity with a side of disappointment. Good for him though, as long as he likes it.

Youth-targeted, value-oriented brand starts out funky but ends a sad, neglected flop? Sounds familiar

I’ve always wanted to hate Ferrari. God damn it, they just made it a little bit harder.
