3 of the 4 V6's I’ve owned have been transverse. Also I’ve only owned white cars. White is one of the best colors for cars. Serious question though, what don’t you like about the V6? Yes its compromised but you get decent mpg, lighter than v8, decent power, and probably gain reliability over the turbo-4 setup.

This ^. From what I understand (which isn’t much) there are techniques to make crank starting a car relatively easy but those are more advanced techniques. Its perfectly reasonable to tell any new driver to get a small engine car to get the hang of it anyways.
