You seem to be confusing shitty bald ass tires with good all seasons.

Not even close. Let me ask you this, have you ever seen anyone with good all seasons actually get stuck, or roll backwards down a hill if they weren't being a total dumbass? I've never seen that in anything but a pickup truck.

The video proves my point, the winter tires only offer 30-50% more grip. That means the speeds you can take a corner at are only at best 22% faster while braking distance is 33% shorter. So are they better? yes Can you make it by without them and still driving at a reasonable speed? yes as well.

They were going too fast for their car and the conditions, you're responsible for driving within your limits. I mean if its really that bad out someone with snow tires might only be going 45 mph (72 kph) before they'd be in the same situation. Its not like snow tires are that much better than all seasons.

How is your time so important you're going to make everyone else buy another set of tires? The only reason there are less accidents with mandated snow tires is dumbasses don't drive slower when they should. All snow tires are doing is increasing your available grip if you drive within your grip limits and give enough

I mean life doesn't stop you just have to allow more time.

Right you can't make people buy something just so you're commute is more convenient.

I live in Northern Indiana. It snows almost everyday but its rare it accumulates to the point the road actually has snow on it. Just wondering if its the same or if there really is snow on the road everyday.

I think you're missing my point. I'm saying snow tires just increase your grip like awd does under forward acceleration. If you drive slow you don't need the grip snow tires offer. People are stupid and try to drive like the snow isn't there and that is why snow tires reduce accidents. If people weren't idiots that

Same is true for snow tires. Braking is a form of acceleration. All you have to do to be safe on all seasons is drive slower and leave more following distance.

I guess if you never want to go anywhere that would make sense... You can't stop at all without brakes. You can't go slow enough for it to be safe to drive without brakes. All snow tires do is increase the coefficient of friction and therefore available grip in the snow. If you drive within the limits of grip you're

I guess you are right that the government really is fucking up the whole freedom thing. That doesn't justify them taking away even more of it.

With the snow tires laws. How often is there snow on the ground where you actually need them? I think they're a good idea for the winter but here in Indiana there are maybe 10-15 days a year where it snows and the plows can't keep up and snow tires actually improve the flow of traffic. If people were responsible and

"You're either in my way or unsafe"

In my opinion its reasonable she got a ticket because she crashed. The ones that piss me off are when they hand out tickets for "speeding" when you're going the legal speed limit in a car that can handle the weather and you still get a ticket. I mean a dusting of snow isn't a problem for a Subaru with snow tires.

I have good story for you about a terrible U-haul.

Its really not that bad. Its pile of shit crossover, not the damn Antichrist.

That was great and makes him sound a little less crazy in context.

Is this on video somewhere? I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the context that would make this 1000x funnier.

I don't see the point in protecting the body by covering it something that's always ugly. A dent might happen once or twice while the first ower has it, its always going to look goofy this way.
