The reason why union labor is finished is because non-union labor delivers better value and results, and you, the consumer, choose its product over the union. That is it.

It’s one of the greater propaganda victories of the capitalist class that it recasts advances won through active ideological (and often physical) struggle as simply the product of ownership’s inherent rising-tide-lifts-all-boats benevolence. It’s a lie, of course, but a really effective one.
