I'll say this: my father was a widower with 7 kids when he and my mom got together. I think it had maybe been a year(?) since his first wife had died. That was 1976, and he and my mother have been married ever since. I don't mean to disparage your perspective, of course, but you should also know everyone has different

True. And Showtime execs must be crapping themselves.

That's fair. It is reminiscent of the movie. I'll just say that anecdotally I'm getting the sense that a lot of fans of the TV show appear not to have expected an 18-hour version of FWWM.

Yeah, I'm enjoying the show but simultaneously feeling awful for the original cast. This show is Twin Peaks in only the vaguest sense of the idea. And I'm one of those people who saw Inland Empire multiple times in the theater. It just feels like Lynch is using the cachet of his original hit to fund his latest

So Obama and I like the same Liz Phair song. Huh.

I agree with this 100%. Biggest flaw of the movie was the script: boring dialogue and weak character development. Not enough to sustain an entire movie.

Always think of that joke when I see this title.

Amazing news. So happy about this.

    Agreed.

This: "But stringing viewers along eventually becomes stringing viewers along, if you set up a bunch of dominoes and then refuse to knock them over."

I had exactly the same thought. Every reviewer assumed last week that his test came out negative, but I didn't.

This show is dangerously close to jumping the shark.

Anthony Weiner angrily DMs Spike Lee.

It was introduced in the first season.

Bad headline. Someone didn't Google Keanu Reeves.

I agree. See that it's getting good reviews but it's not blowing me away like his last effort.

The least they could do (given the uniquely Japanese themes of the story) is put together an all-Asian cast, but they won't even do that. There's almost no way this movie will be any good if it gets made.

    Fuck. That.

I like this show and all, but I think it was a huge mistake to announce a two season renewal before the finale aired. Not only did it kill the tension in the short-term, but it also means that nothing dramatically significant is likely to occur in Season 5 (at least until the season finale). Sometimes I dig the slow

Head is such an underrated movie.
