Yes, it’s goofy as hell. I think they try and cover for it by having Lee explain that Shogun World for people who want an extreme (ie “Sign this paper and basically your life away”) experience.

I kind of understand how the hosts could only shoot non-lethal rounds at park guests in Westworld, but how in the hell did they make it safe for guests in Shogunworld? Can’t have a non-lethal arrow shot at you.
Not the chest, his face. He gets a flare in the mouth.
Jennifer’s not available. How about Joey?
I think we all thought it was a fantasy at first, but the whole scene literally kept getting darker and darker.
Was “starting...now” supposed to imply that now Barry’s done killing, and that he for sure did kill Janice?
Thank Christ C3PO isn’t in this. He and R2D2 have been shoehorned into way too many Star Wars movies already.
If you’d have asked me this morning, “Will you be watching a video of Angela Lansbury fudding herself in the bath this evening?”, I’d have probably replied, “...maybe?”
How the fuck can he get so much done while coping with anxiety and depression? If I’m on top of both laundry and groceries in the same week I feel like I’ve been out slaying dragons.
It’s 2018, I think we all do. And, as a fellow sufferer, appreciate his honesty.
In the past, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the show runners, have been very clear that they have a vision and direction for the story to go and have an ending in mind. So hopefully this eliminates that concern.
Hopefully I’m wrong and I’m certainly in the minority on this, but I can’t shake the feeling this is another “mystery box” show where there’s no clear end in mind and the eventual resolution is going to end up being very disappointing (much like “Lost”)
Deloras did say the valley beyond was a “weapon” that she was going to use against them - so activating a bunch of hidden hosts all over the world sounds pretty good.
The Dinesh/Gilfoyle back and forth is usually one of my favorite things, but it was so tedious :(
That Dinesh stuff was unwatchable. I really hope they find something else to do with that character.
Wow. What were they thinking? Pablo and Kelly chucked to the side? And Kelly was wasted for 3-4 Eps as who the fuck Kayla? Brandy was ok, but unnecessary.
I still think he may be working on a way to transfer consciousness from human to host, and that will be William’s reward if he succeeds. How you ask? Well those drone hosts looked pretty advanced; robots making robots...
“Congratulations, William: this game is for you.”
I laughed a lot and enjoyed this hour of television of more than I do TWD these days. Maybe that’s not saying much, but it’s what I’ve got to say. Laughing for an hour is better than yelling at the TV about how boring it is and why isn’t someone fucking shooting Negan?!
