I guess the most unbelievable part of this story is that a niche retail establishment from 16 years ago is still in business in the age of Amazon.

I assumed that the fortune teller was Joe’s real mother. Was I the only one to do so? (Didn’t she disappear very early in his childhood? So perhaps he could visit her as an adult without her recognizing him.)

I had written something long and heartfelt, and then was logged out...and now it’s gone. So, in short -

I came to this show in the second season and found it extremely entertaining and at no loss for understanding since the plot was straightforward even if individual episodes were not.

My advice is start at the beginning, the show has a definitive arc and makes plenty of call back jokes. Definitely worth watching as it mixes hilarious comedy with high drama and 90% of the time manages to pull it off well.

This actually makes me respect those jokes and the writers who wrote them more. That’s pretty subversive of MacFarlane to do that at the Oscars imo.

At this point, who knows! The big alien invasion was supposed to happen in 2012 but they retconned it in season 10, just like they retconned pretty much every other major plotline during the original series.

Hemsworth can only act comedy. He made Thor, a character thats supposed to be sonewhat serious, the biggest comedian in the avengers movies. Which imo is bad for those roles but good for stuff like this. His acting is pretty weak in all the non-marvel stuff he’s in.

Re: the headline here: Gadot just isn’t that great of an actress? I’ve only seen her in a few movies but she just leaves no impression. I feel like saying she’s bland would be overestimating her...Just the way she says lines always sounds like she’s reading them off a script or something. I’ve never seen her do…

*Raises hand* I’m going to be the annoying one who didn’t like ‘The Nice Guys’. It didn’t help that I came to it following massive praise from places like this; but I found it just an awfully generic and not particularly funny action movie, with nothing much to recommend it. Heck, I barely remember anything about it…

If memory serves, suing the news source that published the story is always a surefire way to quiet the story and minimize damage to one’s reputation.
