Was the mother just standing outside the door, knife in hand, expecting Strand to open it? What if someone else opened the door?

"Walkers don't surf!"

Nick has actually grown as a character, unbelievably.

Please get rid of those autoplaying AV Club Videos…

Great to see continued coverage of this unconventional but highly entertaining zombie show. It's paced just right, knows its tone, and the characters are actually likable. Plus, the zombies are called zombies, and they can move quickly. I've looked forward to new seasons of this more than TWD.

Her "American" accent was awful in Tarzan.

I find AV Club's autoplay video ads on the side of every damn article annoying. Are those considered acceptable? I can't hit the Pause button fast enough.

It was the same theme music, just with an added synthesizer backing.

One more season of this show would be a decent run of this story and characters, but I can see AMC pulling the plug because of the ratings.

Who the hell is watching in 4K?

They should have used Captain Hero from Drawn Together instead.

They'd still be drunk off their faces and walker fodder. The writers forgot though.

They reasoned that killing the walkers room by room, level by level would take too long, as the concern is some other group of survivors will discover the hotel before long.

Don't forget Hollow Man (2000).

I wish the show—or this season—would spend more time or center on Joe MacMillan rather than focus on the other less interesting characters (besides Bosworth, who's great). Ryan's entry into Joe's business and influence is what I want to see more of now.

I thought he wasn't being deliberately cruel, just parroting what Tash had written in her text message ("I love you, Angie.") to give their cover story more credibility.

They sure knocked this first season out of the park. Very strong show.

Scream 2 or Roseanne version?

Is this one of the reasons why:

Jesse and the others don’t even notice when the whole town blows up, which, on a purely practical level, seems absolutely bizarre. Did they drive across state lines to get french fries?
