The writers insult our intelligence by just cutting away to Dexter dropping the body (I thought he used to cut them up…) into bad CGI waters.

Yeah, that Star Trek story about the blueberry pie-eating contest was… fascinating.

BB is one of the most overrated shows ever aired. It's good but not great. And frequently self-indulgent.

Yeah, I quite enjoyed these two episodes. I like the refocus on the railroad politics and scheming, and Bohannon's drive to lay track. The new reporter lady is a decent replacement for "The Fair-Haired Maiden of the West". Cullen making good use of the Mormon family's hospitality was interesting.

Not a problem for me:

I can already tell the Mike and Rachel relationship is going to be tiresome whenever they have scenes together.

I can't believe I'm saying it, but I actually liked Katrina's character in this episode.

I would read that, but I can't stand the Gawker site layouts.

I'm guessing you're not her agent then.

I'm hoping Quinn redeems himself by finding Liddy's (remember that plotline?) laptop that Dexter carelessly tossed into some shallow water. Quinn gets the promotion instead of Det. Black Lady.

I liked season 5 because they finally got rid of the annoying Rita and The Kids. Also, Lumen and Peter Weller's "Liddy" characters were quite interesting. Unfortunately Jordan Chase was a terrible bad guy, badly acted by JLM.

I would loved to have seen Lumen walk back through the door instead of the horrible Hannah McKay.

Yeah, it was from the motel scene in the first ep of this season. They showed Dexter trying to wash the blood from Doggy in the sink at his apartment. A smart Dexter would burn that evidence up.

Exactly! This should have been a final season like the early seasons and not the past two or three. Dexter juggling several things at once, dodging suspicion left and right, real threats swirling around, high stakes, tension… The show is just BORING at the moment. Half-assed plots started and ended in a few episodes.

Dexter is one show where the freak-of-the-week trope seemed to work.

All that was missing was a huge boom mike hanging over the bar.

I was definitely watching the clock on this episode. Where was Miller's promotion party?

Cassie: "That's it?"
Dexter: "That's all I can tell you."

Dexter: The Next Generation

Yeah, this season tastes like asshole too.
