I was a long proponent of Grease 2 until someone pointed out that I really only held it superior to the original because it was on cable way more than Grease and my twentysomething mind mistook familiarity with quality. Or I like the shameless cheese of Grease 2 better than the earnest cheese of Grease.

I was sticking with it for a while, because I felt the same way about Season 2 after the first couple episodes but it picked up quickly. Season 3 has gone almost nowhere and doesn't have the character depth to make up for it.

I know it's probably discussed in the reviews/comments, but is there any rhyme or reason to the show jumping from 2.35 scope to 16x9? At first I thought the ratio differentiated David's perception from the 'real world,' but as the show went on it appeared to be just willy-nilly.

Can't say I enjoyed this one, but it is the first Swanberg movie I haven't completely zoned-out on after 10 minutes so hey.

I rewatched Breaking Bad recently and there are a few scenes where Saul mentions having ex-wives. I wonder if they're gonna retcon that, or just chalk it up to good ol' embellishing

I knew about the Marvel connection before watching, was all in after episode 1 but found the next two kinda boring. I'll probably still watch but it went way down the priority list.

I saw it in theaters and re-watched last night after the Oscar wins. Definitely my favorite of the Oscar movies this year, and it still plays well at home. Spot-on acting all around, and it's beautiful to look at despite not being a "showy" movie. Captures that part of the country beautifully.

If you couldn't get through this Macon Blair movie, I don't think you're gonna get through Girlfriend's Day. I'm with you on the made-for-TV feel for these. Girlfriend's Day was really stiff.

Jake Johnson from New Girl

I read they were going to try to keep the series going by shifting time periods every couple seasons, with all new characters. I'd give it a shot but man, I really loved the first two seasons at the turn of the 1900s.

I thought it was the other way around —- her agent accidentally referenced her real age somewhere and Chastain lost it. It was a while back, can't remember for sure

It's bad enough playing board games with super competitive people, but I especially never play Scrabble with people that own the official dictionary (it's usually sitting in their board game cupboard along with the actual game) because I know they're gonna throw some shit like that on the board and get away with it.

Growing up I think 90% of our tape collection was taped off of HBO or dubbed from a rental. We only had a couple of retail tapes.
Also everyone just called them "tapes," right? On Halt & Catch Fire one of the guys said something about having a movie "on VHS" and I had to rethink my childhood for a bit.

I'm surprised "AND WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SMELL?!?" never took off. I remember quoting that more than any other lines from that movie

The "earf" thing always makes me cringe. I haven't seen it in over a decade but I remember him saying "earth" pretty clearly

Why even watch the show when there's a 30-minute recap immediately afterward, and tons of GIFs from bootleg sources the following day? They're all I really need.

It could have been worse, guys. Flo Rida and Pitbull were checking their phone for weeks, waiting to get the call for this.

They may as well have been

Growing up I wondered why people had such trouble with the temple course, since it seemed pretty straightforward and not as physically challenging as some of the games leading up to it. Then I read one of those tell-all pieces and learned that they filmed like 10 episodes per day, so by the time they started shooting
